2.  Checked English homework  fom book  p. 325  Ex 23

3.  Completed workbook pp. 17-18

4. Students received  Halloween story starter entitled “The Noise” and began writing a narrative in class.It is to be 1-2 pages written in pencil.

HW-  finish Halloween story.

1.  Students went to LIBRARY today to select books.

2.  Took AR tests

1.  Daily Comprehension -”Puffer Fish”

2.  Discussed and checked English exercises on pp. 326-328-Exer 20,21,22

3.  Read aloud and analyzed introductory paragraphs in essays.

4.  HW-  Exercise 23 on p. 329

4.  Essay- wrote introductory paragraph with thesis

2.  Designed Figurative Lang. Flipbook/used magazine pictures to find examples and write original examples.

3.  HOMEWORK-  Bring magazine and glue stick  (LA  #2 nd LA #4 only)

Finish your flipbooks at home (LA #1 and LA #3)

NOTE-Wear your favorite cap/hat for RED RIBBON DAY

Oct. 17, Friday

1.  Read Daily Comp and answered questions

2.  Took Skills Test (see pp. 228-231 in reading book)

3.  Did activity “Fishing for Figurative Language”  using skill notes and colored pencils

4.  HW-  Bring old magazine and wear RED for RED RIBBON WEEK
